Located opposite Mercat Tours and the Edinburgh Vaults (the underground chambers where Burke and Hare would find their victims). The apartment is on the lower ground floor of the building with a view of the street to the front and from the bedrooms at the back. On entering the building there are 4 steps up to the main door and then 8 stairs down to the apartment. The historic Old Town is aUNESCOWorld Heritage site boasting a wealth of charm and character. Main shopping and commercial thoroughfares are within walking distance and include high street retailers , fine restaurants and fashionable bars. The property is extremely well placed for the many famous historical places of interest including galleries, museums and theatres. Edinburgh castle is a short 400 metre walk up the Royal Mile which is a mere 50 metres from the flat. The Palace of Holyrood House and Scottish Parliament can be reached with a short walk downhill. The Grassmarket and Royal Mile offer a superb choice of specialty shops , restaurants, bars , coffee shops and boutiques. .
