1 room flat of 290m² in City of Edinburgh

Porteous Studio is an independent self-catering apartment for two people in the historic Old Town of Edinburgh. The studio is the first project of award winning Architecture Practice, Izat Arundell and is still owned and operated independently by Eilidh Izat and Jack Arundell. Although the couple now live in the Outer Hebrides, Porteous Studio is their home in Edinburgh and they invite you to share their space whilst you explore the city.The studio was bought in 2016 as a disused workshop within an old blacksmith’s building, and was redeveloped into the studio apartment you see today in 2017, opening it’s doors to the first guests in November that year. The goal of the project was to provide a high quality and well designed space for visitors to relax after a day in the city. Jack and Eilidh designed the space as if it was for themselves, trusting their visitors would care for the space as if it was their own.
