Edinburgh Council have introduced a new 5% per night tourist tax levy, this levy is applicable for the first five nights stay, and is calculated from the total booking payment. This is payable on arrival to your host. Your booking payment does not include any tourist tax and this levy is separate and we collect it on behalf of edinburgh city council. This local tax comes into effect July 2026, any booking prior that passes the introduction date of this local tax is subject to this levy.
