The flat itself has been such a nice place to call home. It's cosy, quiet and well laid out, with thoughtful, modern upgrades throughout. We especially loved the Hue light bulbs in all the main fixtures. Its been great to change the lighting with the seasons and create a warm atmosphere in the evenings. The private garden has also been a real highlight. Its planted beautifully, giving a good amount of privacy and greenery. There are bulbs in the planters the landlord planted originally, and we added some tulips too, so whoever moves in will enjoy them in the spring. As a dog owner, Hackney Wick and Leabank Square have been ideal. King Rory daycare and grooming are just a few minutes away, and there are plenty of nearby parks like Victoria Park and Mabley Green. The gated dog run in the middle of the square is perfect for quick breaks or meeting other dog owners. The neighbours here are great - friendly, down to earth, and always looking out for each other. Many have lived here for years, which gives the square a lovely sense of community. We've always felt safe and welcome, and even though we're in a ground floor flat, its very quiet and never hear the neighbours next door or upstairs. We're only moving because we're hoping to find a two bedroom place so or friends and family from the States have a proper space to stay when they visit. Otherwise, we'd be more than happy to stay here much longer. Overall, living here has been a really positive experience. We've felt at home from the start and have been lucky to have such a kind and attentive landlord.
