You can walk to some of the best parts of East London - Victoria Park, Columbia Road Market and Shoreditch are all so close. There are some beautiful old buildings, great pubs and it's only a short tube ride into the centre of town which make it a really great place to stay. The surrounding areas and Aldgate itself are fantastic for shopping. Aldgate High Street has a range of well-known eateries and traditional pubs. Meanwhile, just around the corner is the entrance to Brick Lane, where you can find a plethora of bohemian and vintage clothing shops. There are two popular markets in the area. The first of which, Spitalfields, London’s oldest market is now a 7 day shopping destination with style, arts and traders markets. Conversely, Petticoat Lane Market is only open on a Sunday, but it is worth the wait.Getting Around:Whitechapel tube station is located in Zone 1.
