THE LOCAL AREA The uninterrupted views of the River Thames you'll enjoy from the apartment show you just how close you are to the river and plenty of other South West London attractions, such as: Battersea Park - walk along the Chelsea Embankment and cross the Albert Bridge and you're at a large, open green space with shady and sunny spots for sitting, walking or jogging along the south bank of the river. Events are also held in the park, so if you have tickets, you won't have far to travel. The King's Road - just a short walk north of the apartment is this most famous of roads, full of boutique stores and classy eateries you're sure to want to explore. The Saatchi Gallery and the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea (home of the annual Chelsea Flower Show) are both easy to access from here. If you want to stay near a friend or relative having treatment at the Royal Brompton, Royal Marsden, or Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, staying here puts all three within easy reach. GETTING AROUND Buses and taxis serve the local area, giving you options when it comes to exploring London if you don't fancy doing so on foot. You can also use your own bike or one of the cycles that's available via the London Bike Hire Scheme. The nearest London Underground station is Sloane Square, which is about a 15 minute walk away.
