My house is a beautiful Cotswold stone gate lodge on the edge of the old Stroud cemetery, a much loved nature reserve for dog walkers and families with beautiful views across to the River Severn and beyond. The room is clean and white with a large, church-like window, a very comfortable double bed and a small basin. My home of 20 years is old and full of character and colour and art. The location is 15 minutes walk downhill from the vibrant centre of Stroud and train station in one direction, with immediate access to the beautiful Cotswold countryside in the other. The house is light and tidy and comfortable. The local bus stops almost outside the house and the train station is 15-20 minutes walk away with direct trains to London, Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester etc.. Wonderful walks straight from the front door. There is potentially off-road parking. The house is just off the Bisley Road, a lovely residential street but miles of open countryside are right on the doorstep. Beautiful views abound. Quiet neighbours, but the buzz of Stroud centre, the market, pubs, Waitrose, Vue cinema etc. are all within 15-20 minutes walking distance.
