Set within a beautiful 150-year-old building in leafy Highbury, this light-filled two-bedroom flat has the quiet charm of a much-loved London home. Wooden floors, books, plants and tall windows give the space a warm, creative feel, with a well-equipped kitchen and access to a lush shared garden behind the building. Close to Emirates Stadium, Highbury Fields, local pubs, Islington cafés and excellent transport, it’s a lovely base for north London stays.I think this flat has the sort of personality that can’t really be manufactured. It sits within a lovely historic building, over 150 years old, and has that gentle London feeling I love: tall windows, warm wooden floors, leafy views, and rooms that seem to hold stories without making a fuss about it.Inside, the flat is bright, welcoming and full of personality. The charm comes through quietly — in the books on the shelves, the artwork, the plants by the windows, the soft colours and the little details gathered over time. It feels personal and homely, with a gentle creative spirit rather than anything too staged. The sitting room is one of my favourite parts of the flat. The sash windows bring in beautiful natural light, and the shutters make the space feel cosy when you want a slower morning before heading out to Highbury Fields, or a quiet evening in after a match, concert, local dinner or day spent crossing London. There’s a comfortable sofa, a dining table for breakfast, work or long conversations, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in.The kitchen is well-equipped and practical, with everything you need for cooking, coffee, snacks and simple meals at home. I’ll also leave a welcome pack with tea, coffee and a few essentials, so you can arrive, breathe out, and put the kettle on before deciding whether to stay in, wander to a nearby pub, or hop on the Tube into central London. The sleeping arrangements are straightforward and comfortable. There is a main bedroom with a bed, and a second sleeping space with a futon bed, which will be set up and ready for guests throughout the stay. One of the real joys here is the lush shared garden behind the building. It’s green, peaceful and full of mature planting — a rare little pocket of softness in London. It is shared with others in the building, not private, but it adds a beautiful sense of space and calm after time in the city. The flat is close to Emirates Stadium, which makes it especially convenient for Arsenal matches, stadium tours and concerts, while nearby Tube and rail links make the rest of London easy to reach. On event days, the area has a lively north London buzz; at other times, it settles back into its leafy, residential rhythm. As this is London, you may hear some light street noise from time to time, particularly during busier moments or event days. I like to mention it clearly so guests arrive with the right expectations. You have access to the entire property with no disruptions. Should a maintenance query occur, you will be asked permission first before we access the property to carry out a repair. The practical bits ( We promise to keep it brief !)Check-in & Check-out:Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is by 11am. If you’d like to arrive earlier or leave a little later, let us know in advance — we’ll always try to accommodate where possible, though it is subject to availability and an additional fee. Please ensure you're ready to check out on time. Our cleaning team often arrives promptly, and a £20 fee per half hour will
